A New Family Tradition
Guest post of the week by Val Flores
Since my youngest kids are at the age where they are starting to know who Santa Claus is, I've made a new tradition in our home to watch Twas The Night Before Christmas. We have been doing it every year for the past 4 years on Christmas Eve. This gets my kids extremely excited about Christmas!
Every year, we watch Twas The Night Before Christmas on our satellite television from www.direct.tv/direct-tv-packages.html. The kids get bathed and put on their Christmas pajamas and grab a few cookies to watch the special. This special truly shows how a child feels the very night before Christmas before Santa arrives. You can watch your child watch this special with anticipation in their eyes hoping that Santa is on his way. I love watching the sparkle and wonder in their eyes when they watch this.
After the kids watch Twas The Night Before Christmas, it's not really all that hard to get the kids to go to bed. They usually run to their bedrooms as if they were running track. I recommend this special with two thumbs up. Your kids will feel the Christmas spirit and you will too if you're still a kid at heart. Twas The Night Before Christmas airs on various channels throughout the season and can be easy to miss so make sure to keep an eye out for it.
