Make your Home Sing: Saving money

It's time for Make your Home Sing Monday, a weekly meme where you can able to share something that you thought that will make your home sing. It can be an attitude, encouragement, tips and ideas, advices, or even ways on how to save money.
So, this week I am going to share about ways on how to save money!
Since I came here in US, I never know how important it is to save money just by using coupons, discount codes or even coupon codes. And there are a lot of stores today who always valued their customers by giving out store coupons.
My husband and I realized that even in simple ways we can able to save money.
So here are some of the things I did where I could definitely reassure that my home will sing.
Last Friday, hubby and I agreed that I only spent a hundred dollars on shopping and I did it! I only spend $96.56 for 6 items which normally will costs me, approximately $150.00. Here's what I do! I always look for coupons, either online or at the store. Subscribe store emails/newsletter and save some time to wait for their best deals such as on sales and clearance items. Ask somebody to make a deal out of it by using those benefits you can get by combining items! I always use cash to shop!
When it comes to eating out, we minimized it. Rather, we just cook at home and became homebodies.
Whenever we can, always use a store rewards benefits, it is surely the best way to save money as well.
